After the Manhattan Institute's 9/20 event presenting national poll results on reforming the public sector, keynoter Governor Mitch Daniels sat down with FOX Business Network's John Stossel. Watch what he has to say about what makes Indiana so great (# 3 in economic freedom according to Mercatus), why he didn't fight the right-to-work battle, and what's next for the Hoosier State.

Dear Mitch,
I implore your wife and family to stand strong with you in your quest for a higher calling. You have said or done nothing in your public life that denigrates, disrespects or judges another on anything but simple rules of good faith, common sense and educated judgment.
We all mess up ... you will be forgiven your trespasses.
You have taken yourself out of the hunt in 2012. In any event, please be a factor and a voice of reason in what is certain to be a calamitous campaign. Pick the right person if you have decided it isn't going to be you. As an outsider, I only ask that you do it for the right reasons... why do I know that you will?
The numbers are in... the nation is at risk of mediocrity at best, abject failure at worse without a course correction. The stakes are high... you don't need a nothingburger like me to tell you so. The power of compounding overwhelms the best of human intentions. Four more years of governance by a clique that demonizes the good intentions of well meaning Americans (like me) who strive to create honest wealth for self and family first, with constant regard for the prosperity of employees, and without prejudice towards the good of any and all others, is pushing against the physical limits of our societal elasticity, crushing the roots of our economic viability and degrading us all by distusting that we can naturally decide for ourselves to treat our fellow citizens fairly.
Obama and the Democrats may mean well... they simply have no clue as to how to do well. The talent for leadership is a gift - you know it - don't blow it.
