Surprise! "Wisconsin for Falk" is government union money

Yesterday, I noted that the group "Wisconsin for Falk" began running ads against Governor Scott Walker in the forthcoming Wisconsin recall election.  While "Wisconsin for Falk" sounds very much like a campaign committee for Kathleen Falk, Walker's primary union-backed challenger, it is actually a third party group unaffiliated with Falk's actual campaign.  (Despite their ability to magically obtain video of Falk posing for them, runway-style.)

Today, Mother Jones, of all places, exposes what everyone suspected about "Wisconsin for Falk:" it's funded with government union cash:

Wisconsin for Falk, Mother Jones has learned, is bankrolled big labor unions including the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), one of the nation's largest public-employee labor unions, and the Wisconsin Education Association Council, the state's largest teachers union. A high-ranking labor source confirmed AFSCME and WEAC's involvement and funding for Wisconsin for Falk for the purpose of making pro-Falk independent expenditures in the recall fight.
In early March, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the group spent $519,150 on commercials in the Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, La Crosse, and Wausau TV markets. Walker has said he expects unions to spend between $70 and $80 million to unseat him in the June 5 recall election.

Of course, it always bears repeating that if elected, Falk has promised to veto any state budget that fails to fully restore collective bargaining for government employees. It is because of this vow that government unions are now showering money upon her election effort.
